Arlington pastor charged with two counts of online solicitation of minor girl

The pastor of an Arlington church arrived in Denton for what he believed was a sexual liaison with a 15-year-old girl Thursday, police say, and found himself in an encounter with officers instead.
Reverend Leroy Ruedas Cruz, 50, was in Denton City Jail in lieu of a total $20,000 bail on charges of online solicitation of a minor with intent for sexual contact and online solicitation of a minor with a sexually explicit image sent with the intent to arouse.

Baptist Minister charged with abuse of an adult

DIERKS –- Reverend Mack Chambers, 66 of Pine Bluff has been charged with a Class B misdemeanor count for having inappropriate contact with a resident at the Dierks Health and Rehab. The victim is a relative to Chambers.
Reverend Chambers is the [now] former pastor of Summit Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff. Reverend Chambers had taken a month paid leave of absence from his duties at the church in July, but Sunday, August 5 he resigned immediately. A source in Pine Bluff also stated that Reverend Chambers had put his house up for sale sometime last week.
Reverend Chambers was also the pastor of Olive Street Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff before a split led him to start Summit Baptist Church.
Since his arrest, authorities are also investigating whether there was any alleged abuse involved in any of Chambers previous pastorates.
When Reverend Chambers was arrested by Jefferson County officials, he was taken to the Jefferson County Jail where he posted a $655 cash bond and was released.
